Such a pussy choice from you guys!! LOL-- All great songs, but SUPERFLY is my pick. It made being black cool & proud
 and was such a positive effect on race relations!! And I don't mean that sarcastically. Eventually it was a positive thing.[/b]

Now this is getting harder everytime..three fine tunes to grace anybody's turntable..Even though Curtis is a musical hero of mine and SOUL MAKOOSA'S "DANU DIBANGO" is truely a great record....i would have to opt for EWF -"FANTASY"....always sounds fresh every time i hear it and i never tire of it.....wonderful track!

Finley you macho pig! FANTASY was, is a great song. Earth, Wind & Fire really gave us a song for the ages. It was a Fantasy, and do some x, then tell me this song isn't the shit. We all flew through the sky like real fairies ! Oh I loved it!!

cant' lose with these three. From a DJ point of view it would be Soul Makossa, but we are not in a club. My personal pick from these three, I too gotta go with FANTASY by earth,wind & fire! Now, SUPERFLY was so big, bigger then the other two. It crossed over, and it played everywhere.
BUT it is FANTASY!!

I was 11 when Soul Makossa first came on the radio in Australia. I'd never heard anything like it. It actually scared me a little.....  PETE'S NOTE:: LOL< LOL<LOL>
Has to be EWF though. Phillip Baileys soaring vocal gets me everytime.

1) DATE WITH THE RAIN- Eddie Kendricks
2) I DON'T LOVE YOU ANYMORE- Teddy Pendergrass
3) I DON'T WANT TO LOSE YOUR LOVE- The Emotions
Well, maybe it is not that easy! LOL--
I played the heck out of all three of these songs. DATE WITH THE RAIN is one of my all-time favorites. So that is my pick. But I DON'T WANT TO LOSE YOUR LOVE is truly a Classic too! If someone has the extended 12" version of any of these songs, send it to me, for future Ranch House mixing!!

I usually go along with Pete, but I DON'T WANT TO LOSE YOUR LOVE is my pick this time. It was such a strong, energetic song. I pick that, hands down!!

Those others were easy for me to choose.
Now you fucked me up.
I cannot choose between these 3.
All 3 are SO important to me.
Hard to choose-->
so I gotta eliminate Teddy, cause that is NOT his best song. Close but not his tops-->
("YOU CAN'T HIDE", "BAD LUCK", "THE MORE I GET" are better, to me anyway)
And if I go by that same thinking "DATE..." is not Eddie's best song,
"KEEP ON TRUCKIN" & "GIRL YOU NEED A CHANGE OF MIND" top it by thismuch.
AND
"I DON'T WANNA LOSE YOUR LOVE" is by far The Emotions BEST JAM!
So my VERY HARD VOTE (you're squeezing me now) goes to
THE EMOTIONS (with E,W, &F)
