Another great club Hollywood in Time Square area. Heard Richie Kaczor there and Joey Palmenteri. One was a great banger (Richie) and the other mixer.

Hollywood was the joint! I used to go there in '76.
My first night there I was comparing myself to R.Kaczor to see if I was up on all the new records. I was satisfied I was up on everything and then he plays: "THAT'S WHERE THE HAPPY PEOPLE GO" - The Trammps. First time I heard it. I was screaming happy and depressed cause I didn't know where to find the record. I just HAD to have it for The Playhouse for next weekend.
It took me 3 days (calls to Atlantic were fruitless; they said they didn't release it yet) I finally found it at Downstairs Records on an import 45. (still have it)

I went to find my Trammps 45. I marked it---it said Feb.1976. So it was THEN that I seen Richie play at Hollywood. Positive!



PETE'S NOTE:: I made a call to someone who would know for sure :shock:
Richie came to New York in January of 76, Tony came a year later after Richie helped get him the gig At The Copa!! So It was I who was wrong!
