As I'm contineously buying original 12# EP's, I thought it might be a good idea to let you guys know what it is that I'm buying. So if you feel like it, you may always add some comments, remarks, stories,...on these EP's...

This one I just bought today...Actually a few minutes ago.

The Jacksons * Blame it on the Boogie
Epic - US - 1978 - cat # ASD 523

This is an EXCELLENT buy.
This is the JOHN LUONGO remix of this track.
(they spell his name wrong on the label)
He has an instrumental passage about 3 mins in that ROCKS!!!!

Good One, this one STAYS in my collection!!!

DiscoT,

GREAT buy and a great new thread...
Jay - never saw that about John Luongo's name misspelled until now...

Lately I've got hold of the following original 12" singles:

Mighty Fire - "Love Fantasy" (which is the B-side of "I Could Write You A Love Song")

Deprees - "Delicious"

Various - "the Prelude Dance" (which Jay had so wonderfully mixed together into one seamless mix earlier)

TOTO - "Hold The Line" (not very Disco - but a wonderful but $$$ track)

(among others, but I can't mention all, or ???)

Nice to see that everybody loves this thread :)

Disco 54 : Wow ! Nice vinyl, the Timelords. To protect & serve :)

Last Saturday I went to a Vinyl Fair ( I guess you all know what a vinyl fair is, right ? ) and bought about 10 ep's. I'll add them all on the forum later. However I also bought an EP with somekind of megamix of Boney M. I don't like these remixes or re-issues, but I did like the vinyl. I bought this one for 3 euro, not for the song, but especially for the vinyl.

Yeah, this Timelords/KLF single is the most beautiful vinyl I ever saw.
I can't see that Boney picture you uploaded. :?: :? Anyway, I'm glad that someone else is buying Boney vinyls, but why megamix?? That sleeve must be really something special, otherwise I don't see a reason.
Can you find mint condition LPs in that vinyl fair? I'm buying stuff only on-line, and almost never if it's below "near mint" grade. Am I a snob - or just a great guy?

Hi Disco54,

I'll try to show you why I bought this Boney M EP. The only reason I bought the EP is because of the vinyl. Usually I don't buy megamix release or re-issues, only the original stuff out of the 70's or 80's. But for once I made an exception. I'll try to re-add the picture of the EP. It's not a picture of the cover, it's the shape/design on the vinyl. I like it, it think it's pretty cool.

I'm really only into 12" Disco EP's.

I do have other original Boney M EP's aswell & they are divine !!! Songs as Rasputin, Ma Baker,.. they rock ! You can not believe what a divine sound such a near mint EP gives you.

Normally I also buy vinyl via internet, but I always hate the idea that i have to pay another 5 to 8 € for courier charges, sometimes even more. That's money throwing away, if you know what I mean. The condition of the Vinyl on these Fairs are really really good. Some of them are mint, others near mint, excellent,... but prices are good. I don't have to spend another fortune on courier :) I can use this extra money to buy me other vinyl :)

I'll send you pics of the ones I bought on the Fair one of the following days.

Here's the picture...

Thanks for effort. Now I understand, that's a beautiful picture disc! I'm falling on that kind of stuff also. :) That same picture they used for the cover/sleve of one of their (Boney M.'s) DVDs with various videos.

The 5th photo on that site of yours - "Love reaction" by Divine - is THE SAME vinyl which I have!! I love Divine! :D
