Now that's one hell of a tough choice to pick a favourite from these. This is how I see it, I was always brought up on the Moulton & Shep mixes and I never really used to give it much thought on which version I prefered as I used to play both versions equally. However, now we throw Dancer's double live copy mix in to the lot and now I am really confused. What you get from Dancer (as usual) is a master class in mixology and it takes "Love Sensation" to a new and refreshing plain. I think I recall that Dancer once stated that Shep's mix was one of his favourite mixes of all time, so I just knew that we would get something a little extra special off him when it came to throw a double copy mix at us all...Man!..what a live mix that is brother...pure studio quality all the way! Now back to picking a favourite from the four. All though Dancer's mix is right at the top there, I think it is going be slightly edged out at the winning post by Moulton's mix. My only reason being is that my Moulton & Shep mix were always at arms length.....why?..because I never got tired of hearing or playing both versions over the past 20+ years or so...saying that, it always seemed that I would pull the Moulton mix from it's sleeve befor the Shep mix!. So my personal history of the Moulton mix makes it the winner today but I am gonna have to squeeze Dancer's superb mix inbetween Moulton and Shep because it is that damm good!....Dimitri is an amazing producer/re-mixer/dj, who's work I admire alot as he does not phuck to much with all the original strands and elements of a track. In years to come, he will be held in high esteem along side the like's of Moulton, Pettibone and Gibbons etc but he is gonna be holding up the rear here today...and the only reason I can give you is that maybe he has not paid his dues yet!
1st) Tom Moulton 2nd) George 'Dancer' Siras 3rd) Shep Pettibone 4th) Dimitri From Paris

Disco Face Off #36I have been really stuck in the mid 80's these last couple of days. Lost in the days that I have the most fondest memories of. Back to when my clubbin' day's were at there peak! Two big tunes that popped into my mind from the 80's are gonna be my two contenders for the Disco Face Off..What's interesting about these two tunes is that both tunes use nearly the exact same backing track but have different titles and lyrics!..One thing for sure is that both tunes were very big for me BITD....See if you can split them!!!Fatback - "I've Found Loving" (1984)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUj6y84krxY'V'Cash Flow -"Mine All Mine" (1986)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mU168GvO0rs

Although the Cash Flow sounds cleaner, I like the grimier keyboard tone of FATBACK's version---my vote goes to FATBACK.
Soul-Boy note: It's Cash Flow Jay, not Cashmere!. You are getting mixed up with posts over @54..Lol
I stand corrected!!!!Boyeeeeeeeee!!!!!! Been dizzy with music lately!!!

DISCO FACE OFF #37Was listening to Jay's radio show yesterday and I was reminded of a track by The Brothers Johnson and I got thinking of the subsequent cover version released 13 years after the original. Hence the new Disco Face Off....BROTHERS JOHNSON - "I'LL BE GOOD TO YOU" (1976)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIk4Ak1zsTw'V'QUINCY JONES feat RAY CHARLES & CHAKA KHAN - "I'LL BE GOOD TO YOU" (1989)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qWIwKgmlGU

Damn - this was hard !
Everything depends if I have to choose between the two versions played here or not...
If I would only choose from the two YouTube versions - I'll have to go with the Bros. Johnson version...
BUT...
If I could choose the album version of the Quincy, Ray & Chaka - then that would definitely be my pick... More uptempo and really GREAT version. (Btw - never was much into the "New Jack Swing" style that was popular at time as on can hear in that remix version)

I'm in with a late run to upset the applecart! For me, it has to be Quincys remake. You can't beat that vocal on it from Ray Charles......superb!

Very hard choice!!! I gotta go with The Brothers Johnson Original Version for my pick.
BUT...I do LOVE the 'Soul II Soul' like 12" remix that Ray & Chaka was on. The version that Mikey put up from YouTube smokes!!! Has me scurrying to find my 12"!!!!
