Although I did not play as many of GINO SOCCIO's songs that Pete did, I was a huge fan!!
"DANCER", "I WANNA TAKE YOU THERE NOW" & "TRY IT OUT" were my favs for a long time!!! So was Kebelelectric's "MAGIC FLY", "JOURNEY TO LOVE" & "WAR DANCE"
Two of my favorite Gino Soccio productions was Karen Silver's "SET ME FREE" & "NOBODY ELSE" 1981. These songs rocked!!!!
So that was 8 songs I played from him. Not bad. We should make a GINO SOCCIO compilation. That would be HOT!!!!

Gino's ''It's All Right'' from 1982 is like an updated version of ''Dancer'' but a great groove too!

We could start the compilation with these two Gino Soccio productions.
The first is "WAR DANCE" which he wrote & played on with Pat Desario for Kebelelectric in 1977. (A Tom Moulton Mix)
The second is a funk, pop fave of mine produced by Gino, "NOBODY ELSE" by Karen Silver in 1981.

"Dancer" is a bomb and many of his tracks, including the productions he did for Karen Silver were massive for me! But one of his best is "The Visitors" that was included by Frederico Fellini in his epic movie "La Città delle donne"
Enjoy this particular party in the movie:

Do you all "remember" REMEMBER by Gino 1982? Wow! what an awesome track that has been sampled quite a few times over the years, those French vocals are oh so Visage and fabulous. Now "remember" not to "forget" remember!

Well, I think that "Dancer" is my favorite of all time from the man. Also "Dancer" would be in my all time greatest hits list. I also liked and played "Its Alright", "Remember" & "Try it Out" Pooch

I remember Gino being played in only one or two Clubs. I've always associated "Dancer" with the changing face of the Club Music that was being played around that time. The New Romantic music had also taken hold, and there was competition from the likes of The Human League, who had just released "Sound Of The Crowd" and Spandau Ballet " Chant No. One". But the Thumping Beat of Gino has always stayed with me, and I still think "Dancer" is in a class of its' own.
