Kenny Carpenter was playing last night at ''Astra'' Club at Mykonos!!!!! It was a great party untill the first morning hours and Kenny played a lot of good music,from NYC vocal House to Disco!!!! After the party we go for breakfast and was so nice to hear Kenny's stories about his Galaxy 21 days when he was doin the lights for Walter Gibbons or his time as a resident at Bonds!!!! He also tells me that Jim Burgess was the best technical DJ back then in New York,better even than Walter

I remember seeing him spin around 7-8 years ago at the launch of a nightclub in Newcastle Upon Tyne called "Sea"..The promoters used the Studio 54 angle as the selling point, no mention of the likes of Galaxy 21 and Bonds..Needless to say, it was a sellout!..About three thousand people there, mostly a commercial crowd so Kenny played all the big commercial disco tunes. Even though it was commercial disco all night, I still had a great night dancing my ass off!...I always remember the last tune of the night, as soon as the first few bars of the intro came in, the crowd when ballistic...
The Emotions - "Best Of My Love"....
BTW..His mixing was flawless and his programming was top notch, great considering he was playing all the big disco tunes that had a lot of varied BPM's

I agree with you Michael,Kenny is a fine DJ and a really cool person! Last year he create some magic at Cavo Paradiso,with the help of the live performance of Thelma Houston

What did she sing bro!...Did she happen to sing "Saturday Night, Sunday Morning" or was it a modern house collaberation ???....
..I've got to get myself to Cavio Paraidiso in August...

WOW - as Jay I would have loved to hear that conversation and as Mikey I'd loved to be at Cavo Paradiso when he and Thelma was around.
If you ever talk to him again - ask him if he would like to be part of the DJ's of Disco-Disco.com... (or if you have some contact info - I'll ask him myself)
I'm sure you had a WONDERFUL time...
