I have this fantastic double album by The United We-Funk Allstars. This is a Band made up of ex-members of Confunkshun, The Barkays, The SOS Band, Gap Band and The Dazz Band. Has anyone been lucky enough to actually see them perform live, as this is a live album? I also have a studio cut album, which features Rick James and a track called "Table Dance."
I came across them purely by chance, but having carried the memories of my clubbing days and this music in a little box in my head for so long, when I got hold of this live album it nearly blew my socks off!!

I'll check these out when I get home tonight. I love all the bands that these guys come from so they must be on point!!!

Man!...I have been a big fan of the Gap Band ever since I can remember, Charlie Wilson is a hero of mine!...Got to see The S.O.S Band live in the early 80's at a soul weekender, I think it was Prestatyn if I remember rightly...Marvellous!...Also loved there change in direction when Jam & Lewis took them more in a R&B sound..
BTW..not many people know that S.O.S stands for Sounds Of Success

Awesome stuff Barberella! Thanks!
Agreed about Charlie Wilson, didn't know too much about him a while ago but he's still extremely relevant in today's industry and upon hearing his voice on a number of tracks have checked out his earlier work! So much respect for someone who can last so long and remain so relevant in a largely fickle industry. Quality always tells through.
