I finally have a copy of one of my all time favs "Release" (disco version) by Patti Labelle from the Essential cd. I remember hearing this version back in 1980 either at the Garage or Tribeca's(I think,lol)In all these years I have not seen a promo or boot and wondered if this was on an acetate (Sunshine or otherwise)?

Hi Discobone,

I never knew there was a "Disco version" of "Release (the Tension)" !!
But as released in 1980 it would be REALLY surprising if there was NOT at least a Promo release - but I guess maybe Jay would know ?!?!
Would love a copy of that one !!!

Never seen any version but the LP or single version.
I have it on an Epic Promo 45.
