If we use our imagination...... I imagine a little wild Cerrone SUPERNATURE, showing his girls what LOVE IN C MINOR really means!! That is using my imagination!

Actually, the oddest thing that I never understood was how some of those very ultra erotic songs would play heavily in gay clubs that had backrooms. (For the record, never did a back room and YES in many respects I AM a prude, but I digress.)
Paint a confused face on me but the idea of gay men bumping and grinding to squealing women having simulated orgasms....ok, just never understood it.
Even more ironic is how it wasn't a problem to listen and dance to those songs in our youth with our friends but now as an adult, I think I would crawl under a table if any of my neices or nephews were to listen to that stuff in front of the family.

Mike WHY?? You are a prude? But you're GAY?? How does that work? Prude- Gay, isn't that a contradiction. Can't be prude and be Gay? I guess I am wrong, you are living proof, LOL-

It isn't a contradiction really. I just don't live up to the stereotype. I never believed in sex outside of a relationship and am against promiscuity and always have been. It may not be for everyone, but that is the drum to which I have always marched to.
Even during the disco years, while some friends got their rocks off in a back room, I was out front dancing the night away into the wee hours of the morning.

Mike,
I give you KUDOS for using the right head. I saw and heard all sorts of perverted things that went on in Gay Discos, most of it by the guys who were telling me the stories. I believe that everyone can imagine. The fact that you were not a part of that foolishness, is a credit to you, and probably increased the chances of you living to an old age. So you are a smart man.

I do believe that is why I am still alive while the aforementioned friends never made it past 30 or 40.
I do have to say though, the disco years had a lof of inbred promiscuity in both the gay and straight clubs. Sex became too much of a commodity and for some reason self-respect went out the window. If you listen to the majority of songs of that era, most of it was about sex. We were inundated with the message on vinyl and some succumbed to the temptaion. To each his own.
Dance like there is no tomorrow and if you have to bang to the music, do it with that special person one on one in your own home.

Morgan,
I agree with you, especially on SUPERNATURE, the vocalist sure does sound like Grace Jones! Makes one wonder doesn't it? In those days, a lot of times, studio vocalists did not get credit or responsibility. So could it be Grace? No, I think she would have demanded full credit! Welcome Home Morgan, hope you keep up the chatter with us!! We have no-one "Down under"!!

Cerrone rarely worked with guest vocalists. Usually the Cerrone Angels did the job and they were outstanding singers.
The only exceptions are (as far as I know):
- Jocelyn Brown on "Hooked On You" and "You Are The One"
- Claudja Barry on "Trippin' On The Moon"
- La-Toya Jackson on "Oops-Oh-No"
Maybe others????
