I have a good feeling it is, he threw me off at first with saying it was a Puerto Rican artist who first recorded it.
The composer of the song ( Ricardo Rico ) is from the Dominican Republic but I believe it was first recorded by Conjunto Casino from Cuba.
Im actually adding the song to Youtube as it isnt there, Katunga was an excellent band,I suggest to listen to their other stuff.

Palo Bonito is a very much in-demand track with the kids right now in Europe. It was also mentioned in the acetate bible. A lot of the cosmic sound djs spin Katunga, along with stuff like Ozo's Anambra, James Last's Happy Brasilia, and of course JKD Band's Dragon Power.
