So, in 1974, you know I was going back and forth with two copies of this now classic hit. Hues Corporation - "Rock The Boat" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dndAXxqJbc0Pooch

I had the honor of interviewing Mr. Bill Curtis (Drummer) of the Fatback Band on my show a few years ago. He is still doing his thing, shows and touring with the band. Willie Mitchell R.I.P. Gave us great music. Its pretty damn sad the radio stations don't play the real funk/ disco anymore. You have to go online, a club or a barbecue to hear real music. We need it back on the air again. Not on a TV commercial or dial a HOE advertisement.. What happened to our real music?
I'm back guys. Lets bring the REAL music back to the forefront. Bless chuckssanceation : ).

First Choice's Armed And Extremely dangerous goes very well today with the Theme From Black Belt Jones by Dennis Coffey http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvuI_vnpbuMthough I'm always tempted to spin it with the Percy Faith version of Enter The Dragon http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2PXziX6y-8but that does not really work and make narrative sense as Bruce Lee only used his Fists of Fury, never arms as such. Mr Black Belt Jones however did carry arms... or did he?

One of my favorite early dance tunes was and is "Crazy 'Bout My Baby" by Sweet Bonnie Bramlet 1973 6min51 sec..Another "Rain" by Blanche Carter 1976 7" vinyl 2min 59 sec or "I Can't Make It Without Him" Brendetta Davis.... I am new on this site...But have a good knowledge of the Manhattan club scene from 1969 -1983....I first danced at Hampton Wick way uptown..east 60's...Gold Bug West 4h and Thompson....Sanctuary and every private club around....From The Loft and La Escaulita to 12West..Flamingo and Paradise Garage....Aux Puces...Hollywood...Potasa..Sandpiper...Ice Palace...If the music was great I was there...I am best friends wit DJ Lary Sanders for over 40 years..We moved to New York together in 1969...Thanks for reading this post..If you get a chance please look at my website http://www.StevenBogarat.com I have one page that I built for Lary Sanders to showcase his gemius remixes with my artwork.
