This could be fun..............especially if there really is a DJ Knobhead out there.

I wanna new DJ name.....an alias. I already have one in mind but I'm keeping that to myself at the moment.

List any names that come across your mind from time to time & who knows..............I just might change my mind with the one I'm currently thinking of using. :)

If you want to put silly names..........even better.....I'm always up for an uncontollable fit of laughter

My current avatar says it should be Groucho but she's pretentious at the best of times. :P

Paul,
I have been called a lot of nic-names as a deejay. I was in NYC, PETE THE DICK, because of the size of my member(Yeah). "Golden Tongue" by a school of nurses from Decatur, Georgia. That name lasted a few years. I was "The Preacher" for a few months, because the club's deejay booth was a preacher's pulpit. Then The Vynil Junkie, when I had every record around, long gone are the records, but the name stayed. Then most recently, they just call me "asshole" LOL-

Seriously, there are deejays I know. DJ Gimp(he is crippled), DJ Limp(Erection Problems) and DJ Pimp(Guess why). There are hundreds. I will come back here as I remember them.

Back in my early dj-ing days I was known by a nick-name from my school days, which was Micky Motown. This name was bestowed on me as I was an avid collector of Motown 45's from an early age. The name stuck and my pals still call me this till this day.... Personally I hate Dj monicor's. I think you should just stick with your name that your parents gave you. I hate all those fancy-dan dj names, they piss me off. For example, say I book Tiesto for the club. What you gotta do?..call this guy Mr Tiesto or what?....its all pointless bollocks to me!

Tiësto= Tijs Verwest (From Holland)

Be serious, if he would use his own name, it would not sound Funky!

And Bob Sinclar=Christophe Le Friant.

Be serious, and with all due respect to the board and its members: how many of you would be able to pronounce that name right?

And Pete Denis=?

I always pronounced his name the French way: Pete "De Ni" and now I here the jingle on the TRH sets speaking about Pete DeNNis.

Nice to hear from you Starr!! I missed you & your wisdom! My name is, Pedro Luis Denis-Cruz Guerra-Santana (pronounced DE-NI) In 1961, at the age of 5 0r 6, in Glen Allen, Virginia. A Baptist Minister called me Pete Dennis. The name remains eternal. I love PETE(but hate PETER). the American version of Pedro, also love Pierre, and Pietro. The Dennis, I like DE-NI better. But here, everyone pronounces it Dennis! I also have as a birthdate, Dec. 5th, 1954-55-56? So take your choice. Me, I take 56, a year or two younger always helps!! LOL When you are a refugee, shit like that happens gaining entry into the states. Do you know in the Auntie Mame plays & movies. The little boy who is telling the story. His name is Pete Denis!! LOL- Best name of a deejay I ever heard, DJ LUKE SKYWALKER(better known now as Luther Campbell). Funny. Also, a classic, DJ Carlos"no-show" Nodal. Great deejay, who was on MANY occasions, a "NO SHOW"!! And Of course, DJ SMOKEY!! Wasn't very good, could be the worst deejay in history, but was always SMOKING!!! The booth looked like a smoke machine, but it was the Maria Juana. I worked with him over a year. Mostly because of that!! LOL

My wisdom?

Sorry, Pete, we are very busy these weeks, I'll try to jump in however. Thx for the name explanation, I already read most of that in your book. I'll keep De NI, like in Denis Lepage (and not LApage, like I read a lot here  )

But then again: I will give the board a French lesson! "Le" stands for masculine, "La" stands for feminine. So it's Le Monsieur, and La Dame.

I even wrote a song about it LOL

Thanks, I didn't know that. But that still does not answer what we should call Denis LaPage, or Denis Lepage???? NOW??? I think that question is obvious!! Since I was born in San Fransisco, my name is very easy. Rosie Yui-Ying Lee. I don't even have that name on my DL, it is simply Rosie Yui. PINK LADY was given to me by DJ RayJ in 1983. I always dressed in Pink, love everything Pink, and I am really no lady!! Not in the classical sense! But it stuck, and I love it!

I am gay, in a butch way. MARICON is what the kids called me to hurt me growing up. Instead, I did not let it bother me. And proudly adopted the moniker. My Name is Mario. ELPATO Torres, is my bitch. His name is Billy! Yes, he is not even Latino. But his Spanish is better then mine. As for Ricky Ricardo. His name, believe it or not, is Ricardo Ricardo!! Lol-

In the 70's, there was a DJ who called himself DJ BJ. He changed his name, and became a huge star in Gay clubs. But, you can figure out who I am talking about yourselves!! I will never tell-- Ha Ha Ha Ha!!

The most famous Tampa area deejay has to be the troll, BUBBA THE LOVE SPONGE. He had his own Club, and now is a regular on the Howard Stern show. He also sells a brand of Hamburgers called "Bubba Burgers", which are 100% Angus beef, and are a half-pound a piece! Big Deal. He was into 90's dance music & disco. Now he is just a jerkoff!
