Let me please say that this label was THE hi-nrg disco label of the 80's.
from the early releases of Cowley's "Menergy" and Sylvester's "Do ya wanna funk"
through to Jeanie Tracy. This label inspired dancers to bring out their tambourines and put talcom powder on the dance floor!
Megatone really did "take me to heaven".
I feel the label lost it's power when may of it's artists and staff died. It ended up going in a very fast Aerobic's style with the music being almost too fast to play in a club.
We must remember them for the good old days though!

Ahh, great music came from the San Fransisco Record Mafia. I enjoyed and loved most of their product. These were some very talented people. They certainly left us with many great records!

One of the best Hi NRG labels ever! The home of Patrick Cowley,Sylvester,Paul Parker,Modern Rocketry,Loverde,Jeanie Tracy and many others.
My favourite Megatone release was the 1983 remix of ''Close Your Eyes'' by Queen Samantha 8)

Has anyone ever seen Sylvester perform live?
he performed in Sydney in 1986 and performed at our Sleaze Ball party. His show went for 40 mins and he started his set with "take me to heaven".... he sure did take us to heaven!
I think my favorite Megatone records are "last Call" Jolo, Time Bomb - Jeanie tracy and
all the Cowley stuff.
