these are great! I wish I could peek into these parties (ok especially the fantasy dress one!) to hear your music and see the people.
I too have spun for fetishy parties, and it's always a lot of fun. (I kind of think of it as a specialised sort of chill room.)
so, how was it? and yes, please keep 'em coming!

Well thank you all for your comments. I do have lots more if you are not bored. Mermaid, to answer your question. The party was great. They came out in lingrie, pajamas, undies, bathing suits, etc. But the idea actually comes from the Night Gallery in Brooklyn. That is where I held the first one in 1979. That was a SMASH. We had 3 total back then. Thanks Pooch

Danny, I welcome seeing all you got. It is part of history, and I am certainly a big "Disco" history buff. This is what we want to read & see. So give us more, much more.

Keep em' coming Pooch! Love looking at memrobila like this.. Makes me want to invent a time-machine so I can go back in time and jam with you!
Pooch..I know you are semi retired now but when did you make a conscious decision to move away from spinning full time and concentrate on a different proffession. Did work start to dry up in the eighties as music was going in a different direction or did you loose your passion?..When I why did you decide to step down from your involvment in the record pools ect!...
Many Thanks Pooch for sharing your memories and history here!

Well my friend, you flatter me. Thank You I never really made a concious decision to stop. The scene, and the music made the decision for me. I do not care for todys music. It, for me, has lost its soul. The 80's did not hurt me. Remember, I played until 1995 when LeClub finally closed. I never lost my passion. This is still expressed whenever I play. I just choose to play the classic dance music and House music. I did have the fortune of playing four times last year. I stepped down from the Record Pool to pursue the appointment of Manager at Atco Records. My current career fell into my lap. Safety for commercial drivers came naturally to me. You may ask questions my friend and I will answer best I can. Regards, Pooch

Here are two little bits from the UK circa 1983. Hope you enjoy the past.

Pooch,
It's really great to see you have saved so many clips from papers and so on... You must have a wonderful scrap book - I just know by all the material you sent me for the interview. It's really great and I'm sure your family enjoy this too. So - we love for you to keep adding this kind of material !
All the Best, Discoguy

Thanks for this Pooch! Me being from the UK, I find this very interesting! Tiffany's in Manchester belonged to a chain of clubs all over the UK that had the same name and decor! We had a Tiffany's in Newcastle Upon Tyne that used to hold 3000 people, it's still there to this day but under a different name now!....Happy days Keep em' coming bro!
