Very true Rigo.
I spin parties for the Recovery crowd down here in South Florida. My crowd is mainly from 30-45 years old. They love Disco.
When I do a picnic or a convention I have to make sure I pack: "Ring My Bell", BeeGees, S.O.S. Band, Barry White, "Got To Be Real", Rick James, "Let's Start The Dance", "Love Is The Message", Denroy Morgan, Vicky-Sue Robinson, James Brown, "Rock The Boat", "Rock Your Baby", "In The Bottle", "Heartbeat" & "Bad Luck" !!!! IF I DON'T I'M DEAD MEAT.
PLAYING THESE WILL ALWAYS COOK MY CROWD SO I CAN PLAY OTHERS like: Central Line, Nick Straker Band, Billy Ocean, Unlimited Touch and down the line..

Well, all I can say is, when the thinning seemed to be happening, I would pull out "Shanghaied" by "Lecktic Funk" - When I would slip in the vocal 1-1, 2-2, 3-3, 4-4, and the pounding of the bass drum kicks in, the crowd knew something was coming. I would usually play the hottest song of the day, or something totally unexpected. Always worked!! There is that crazy stuff again. Pooch

I remember that trick, the old tease. I heard you do that alot of times. Always with a different effect afterwards. One of the things I loved about you Pooch, always change the hook. Never sound the same r40
