Bunny Sigler - "Let Me Party With You".

12:25 mins long.

Good for that 10 minute break when needed.

Another one good medley is the Cerrone's Supernature album B side:
Give Me Love/Love Is Here/Love Is The Answer - 15 minutes from one of the best eurodisco producers ever!

Guys, You know... I really never played very long songs, unless I needed a break. Usually, there was RayJ or PEPE Jr, or DJ Eli, or someone to cover while I did what I had to do. I would take records like Cerrone, and change the order of the album, just to be different! Understand? On songs longer then 5 minutes, I always played, remixed them. I was rarely "lazy", I enjoyed mixing WAY TOO MUCH!!

The first remix I Ever did, as amateurish as it was, was possibly the very first"disco"record! ZING, Went The Strings Of My heart" by the Trammps. All I did was blend(??) the beginning with the end! Made it twice as long, it was December 5th 1972, my birthday, I turned all of 16 that night! Then I kept at it, every chance I got, whenever I found a short song! "Date With The Rain", "Black Skinned Blue Eyed Boys"! Shit like that! But the real first, true remix I heard was by "Pinky", he simply doubled up on "You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine" by Lou Rawls!. Shit, I left, went right back to The Copacabana, and did it too!!!!!!!
It was pure magic! I was "hooked for life", BTW another song that I remixed the hell out of. Then there was the one that totally blew my crowd away! EL COCO'S --"LET'S GET IT TOGETHER" It was so spectacular in 1975-76 to do that! I WAS ENTHRALLED, and the rest is history!!

Yea I hear ya Pete---I used to make the real long songs shorter. Like "GET ON THE FUNK TRAIN" I edited a version to a jam packed 7 minutes. I did the same thing to "I LOVE AMERICA", "TRY ME", "SAN FRANCISCO/HOLLYWOOD"--They all came in about 7-8 mins!!
I used to play Gloria Gaynor's medley (3 songs) at 3 different times--never together.
You play a song too long and it bores the crowd--no matter how good the song was.

You're right Jay,songs like Patric Juvet's I Love America are very boring for 10 minutes.

I would play the entire song! Just not the way they were used to hearing it. Or I would play other songs, then go right back to it, play another song, then back to it and so on! I gave them what they wanted, but always MY WAY!!
