Any info would be greatly appreciated. :)

Don't really know who did most...
I think Bobby "DJ" Guttadaro did the most during the first years in business, but since Disconet was running for quite a while maybe someone else did more over the years... or ???

DISCOGUY nailed it. Raul Rodriquez did a few, as did Bill Motley, but hands down, it was DJ Bobby G who did the most work for DISCONET.

THE SIXTIES MEDLEY that had ROY ORBISON'S "Pretty Woman" is my favorite. Bill Motley, a great deejay who we lost to AIDS, was behind it! Alex no-one wants to change your mind. Remember that LAY ALL YOUR LOVE ON ME was a HIT, not a "sleeper", and totally became The Anthem after the DISCONET remix. That secured it's place in history. But it was a crossover Top Ten before the DISCONET. And had been HUGE in Europe way before Raul ever got his hands on it. But he did a bang-up job didn't he! By the way RALPH13, meet Alex!! Love you guys!!

COME ON AND DO IT by Pouzzez was outrageous wasn't it! It was different than ANY version of that song! One of my prized possessions. So is the I FEEL LOVE, no matter how many bootlegs there were. My DISCONET came with a certified number!!

MY BEST GUEST FOR MOST MIXES ON DISCONET WOULD BE BOOBY DJ AND TOM SAVARESE, ESPECIALLY AT THE ONSET OF DISCONET.
MARLYN "GREENE" FISHER, MANAGER FOR BOTH DJS MADE SURE THAT SHE BOOKED WHATEVER WORK THAT SHE COULD TO GET THEM BOTH VERY WELL EXPOSED. AND SHE WAS NOT CHEAP. SHE WANTED TOP DOLLAR FOR THESE GUYS.

Ray, Tell me, did you do any DISCONET records? I would assume, that the management of DISCONET would have wanted you. But, I don't recall any by you. If so, why not? If you did, which, and why not more? I thought that RAUL was exceptional with what he did. If you saw above, DJ Alex Garcia(Gerring), remember him, knows all of the DISCONETs, I really didn't care too much, but I am curious, which was your personal favorite!

PETE,

ONCE I WAS HIRED BY VANGUARD I WAS NOT ALLOWED TO DO WORK OUTSIDE OF THE LABEL.

DISCONET CAPTAIN OF THE SHIP MIKE WILKINSON AND I TALKED MANY TIMES ABOUT REMIXES FOR DISCONET AND HE FULLY UNSDERSTOOD MY AGREEMENT WITH THE SOLOMON BROTHERS AT VANGUARD.

I DID MENTION THE ENDGAMES "FIRST LAST FOR EVERYTHING "TRACK A FEW TIMES TO MIKE WHICH WAS FINALLY USED ON A DISCONET RELEASE.

Alright Pinky. Why did you not get involved with the DISCONET remix of Vanguard artists Pouzzez? Or were you involved? Their COME ON AND DO IT was one of the best Disconets.

JOSE,

AS I MENTIONED PREVIUOSLY, I COULD NOT GET INVOLVED WITH DISCONET BECAUSE MY AGREEMENT WITH VANGUARD DID NOT PERMIT THIS.

OTHERWISE I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO POUNCE ON THE DISCONET TRAIN.

AS A MATTER OF FACT, I WOULD HAVE HAD MANY MORE REMIXES ON OTHER LABELS.

NEVERTHELESS, I ENJOYED REMIXING WHENEVER I HAD THE GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY.

Ahhh yes! The certified numbers!

But did you ever get to win one of those fabulous LCD chronograph watches?

One of my faves from Disconet was Valapuccis' edit of "Kama Sutra"....that was way ahead of its time.

Also Viterittis' edit of "Lady Of The Night" by Ray Martinez & Friends.

Ray is a personal friend who still owes me big for something that happened in March of 87. LADY OF THE NIGHT was an exceptional Disconet-- I never won a watch, but I did know TWO people who won them! They did not last very long, need I say that!!?? Did you ever get a copy of DISCO BEATS by Tom Lewis? Remember what that was?

I do remember Disco Beats By Tom Lewis.

I used to manage the very first import dance music store in Sydney, Australia & it was a great help to the djs & myself from time to time.

It actually inspired a dj in Melbourne to make his own subscription service called "Harmonic Keys".

It gave djs all the tempos/keys/ & even recommended certain tracks that would mix well together as a short uplifting set.

Being on the other side of the world without internet back then we had to rely on Billboard charts & DJ charts from record pools from you guys in the US to find out what was hot of the press!!

To bad, if you used US Charts, they mis-led you sometimes. The charts here were "rigged" at times. But most of the time they were good enough. After all those Billboard charts have BAD LUCK as the most charted song of the Disco era!??
