Does anyone remember Sylvie Vartan's only English disco/dance/pop album I Don't Want The Night To End?

I am not sure if that was ever released on CD but I have found her other music in that format. If anyone knows, please, share the info!

The album from 1979 that you are referring to had the following track listing....

I do not want to end the night
Please stay Please stay
Easy love Easy love
Distant shores Distant shores
The rest of my life The rest of my life
Pure love Pure love
Don't you worry Do not you worry
Keep on rockin Keep on rockin
Dance to the rhythm of your love Dance to the rhythm of your love
Hot time tonight Hot time tonight

It can be bought on CD but I have only seen it as part of a box collection and it is pretty expensive..just over $200..I am sure the album in question was re-issued but you are gonna have to dig deep to find it my friend!

Hungarian or Bulgarian, not sure which, Sylvie was a knockout looker of a female who made it pretty big in Paris & in Italy. She was extremely popular in the Far East as well. She was married to the famous or infamous JOHNNY HOLIDAY for many years. A very sexy singer whose voice was sufficient enough to sell millions and millions of records. While I never heard ANY English language from her, they obviously exist! I remember in NYC, in the mid-70's, a French Disco called "Le CuCu" played a lot of her music. (BTW "Le CuCu" also played slow French music every 45 minutes) I actually deejayed there as a guest on a few occasions. I enjoyed it immensely. The French women seemed to love CUBANOS?? Maybe it was the mustache?
She worked with John Kongos on her disco music, almost exclusively. Here is their big French hit!!-

Check out the male dancers incredibly bad outfits and hair styles! Did we actually wear that crap??

Well, I broke down and bought one of those Crosley reproduction turntables that have a CD recorder built in.

Since there are still so many vinyl albums that I haven't been able to replace on CD, I guess I will work with this and then upload them to my iPod. Let's just hope the sound quality is fairly decent.

Try Sylvie's "Disco Queen", the sassy French version of Claudja Barry's "Johnny Johnny Please Come Home".
