Rick Astley was a tea boy when he started working for Stock, Aitken & Waterman.

Should have stuck to the kitchen I reckon.

Tabloids @ the time used to say that Ricks vocals were actually Kylies vocals slowed down.

Try it.

Grab a Kylie record ....slow it down by 10% & you have Rick. :)

No wonder Ray likes him.

Listen, you can call me what ever you want! But don't screw around with Kylie. Them's fightin words! You can slow down any fxxking body's song and it will sound like Rick. BTW, it's my wife who likes him, I just mixed her what she liked and got a whole lot of lovin.

So my friend pflext, saying anything negative about my Kylie is sacrilegious and carries a penalty of death.

ok boys, let's get back to "The voice" huh? :-)
Thanks for posting about the greatest male vocalist there ever was. I learn't so much from this posting. I remember the day he died. I was coming home from a big night out still whirling on an "E" and was in a taxi. It came over on the radio in the cab. Talk about bring your E down! I went home and put "Searchin' and The glow of love" on. What a loss!
We "Never (had) Too Much" of the lovely Luther.

You are quite right my Brisvegas friend....Luther did indeed provide vocals on the track "Hot Butterfly" by Bionic Boogie, produced by Gregg Diamond, circa 1978. :)

Luther also recorded vocals for Bionic Boogie - "Tiger Tiger" LP.
He also co-wrote half the album.
