Out of Los Angeles comes an Afro-Cuban band that dominated the scene in the late 60's and early 70's. They originally were a "rock" band, and had vocalist Eric Burden on their team. Their list of early Classics is impressive. I have every album this group put out. It starts with "Spill The Wine" one of my all-time favorites. This song crossed all the racial barriers, and was one of the first to have Spanish lyrics in it, as a sexy woman seduced the singer with some wine. Another of my favorites was LOWRIDER, a song that today, gets played everywhere. I hear it in television shows, movies and in commercials. I will save the rest for all of you! If you can't handle that, let me know, I will list them all myself!

This band was early Afro-Cuban-Funk-Jazz.
One of the most influential bands of 1970-1978.

My favs include:
"ME & BABY BROTHER"
"CISCO KID"
"SLIPPIN' INTO DARKNESS"

and the previously mentioned: "GALAXY" & "SPILL THE WINE"
They got more!

Also one of the most sampled groups.

In the early days it was
WAR, EARTH WIND & FIRE, and SLY & THE FAMILY STONE.
