The world of Soul, Disco and Funk has lost one of his biggest icons.

Mr. Isaac Hayes passed away today. His body was discovered at his mansion in Memphis Tennessee.

R.I.P. my man and thank you for all those legendary tracks!

It was a tough weekend, on Saturday, it was Bernie Mac who passed away from complications of pneumonia. Then Issac Hayes was on a threadmill, when he was found. I actually met Issac Hayes once, in 1976 when he and his Orchestra played on Stage at The Copacabana. He was truly a gentle giant. May God Bless, and may we never forget him.

I remember the first time I heard the Theme From SHAFT. It was completely different. Unlike anything I had ever heard of before. We truly lost an Icon. Barry just added another piano player!

ISSAC HAYES was one of the pioneers, he was all DISCO for a while. SHAFT was one of the songs considered the first disco song. Then STRANGER IN PARADISE and MENAGE A TROIS. He also gave us DON'T LET GO. We loved him, and will miss him. RIP

In New York City, and especially on WBLS & WKTU, "STRANGER IN PARADISE" was huge!! It was almost at the burned-out status once. Me Personally, LOVED IT & all his songs. I will miss that big husky voice, and his incredible talent.

Issac Hayes came up with one of my favorite songs and a song I live by!-- MOONLIGHT LOVIN(Menage A Trois). What a great song, along with STRANGER IN PARADISE it made Issac an early favorite among Disco freaks!! Me included.

One of my absolute favourite IH-tracks too! Especially the full 10 minutes version!

For people who are not familiar with the track, here's the edited one
