Damn--not even the Jim Burgess Remix?

This song was big all over--especially in black clubs.
Also the rap guys used to sample the break like crazy!

Nice discography, DJ Rayj!!!!
In addition to all that they wrote & produced #1 hits for:

Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell-"AIN'T NO MOUNTAIN HIGH ENOUGH", "YOU'RE ALL I NEED TO GET BY"

The Dynamic Superiors-"FACE THE MUSIC"

Chaka Kahn-"I'M EVERY WOMAN", "CLOUDS"

Gladys Knight & The Pips-"TASTE OF BITTER LOVE", "BOURGIE BOURGIE"

Ullanda McCollough-"BAD COMPANY"

...and much much more.

They are truly ICONS.
They have a fairly recent new CD that every DJ should be interested in:
"ASHFORD & SIMPSON--GREATEST HITS & REMIXES--THE WARNER YEARS"
Its a double CD with one disc with their 12"remixes in original form. Most of these were promo only & hard to get.
The 2nd disc has remixes from today----with a special new Tom Moulton Remix of "FOUND A CURE" that kicks ass!!!

PETE'S NOTE:: Let's Hear It!!

Yay! What a choon that was! Still have my original 12" on Mango.

I found out just recently that Invisible Mans band had Keni Burke & one of his brothers in that band. Keni Burke had a big hit with "Risin" To the Top."

My favourite one hit wonder from the early days was 5000Volts "I'm On Fire".

A record that I like very much is by one hit wonderband Dance Reaction

Image

Based on "Vertigo" by Dan Hartman and the band was sued for that.

Funny: on Bob Sinclar's 2003 album "III" there's a hidden track called "Touch me, I wanna go bang"....it's a remix from the Dance Reaction track.

Check that one out coz' it is a killergroove!

Someone mentioned Rods' "Shake it Up do the Boogaloo".

That was huge here in Australia.

There was another track off the album called "Angel Of The Night" that I was a bit partial to as well but no one else out here played it. :)

Billy Bob mentioned Technolust on Pantera records from 1983....that was a biggie out here too.

I must say that one of my top tunes ever was a one hit wonder.

Brainstorm - "Lovin' Is Really My Game" 12" Tabu records 1977
