I couldn't leave this thread without dropping his name. I am surprised no one mentioned him here. Who could listen to his Syncophonic Orchestra and ever forget it? He managed to upstage Shakespeare for a moment and turn "Romeo and Juliet" into a disco anthem. He even wrote and produced for artists such as Don Ray, Cerrone and Love and Kisses. That unique symphony of sound is really a time marker.

I can still recite those prologues. If only every Shakespeare play was produced by Alec, I'd have each line memorized.

"Two households both alike in dignity.
In fair Verona where we lay our scene.
From ancient grudge break to new mutiny.
Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean..."

Dang...

What an ugly, dirty ditch the commercial music of today has fallen into.
