Post subject:  My Dear Disco Friends..

Good morning to y'all, my beloved disco friends. I'm currently trying to input all my 12" disco ep's to a wonderfull program, called vinyl manager so I have a better overview to avoid any double purchases if you know what I mean.

While inputting I found an ep called Power Drive from Richard Gear. I checked on discogs, youtube,... but I cannot really find some information about this Richard Gear. Most of the links refer to the actor Richard Gere, but I'm not sure...Is it really the actor Richard Gere who tried a ' singin' carreer' in the 80's, or is it somebody else ? And who then ???

Personally I don't think that it's the actor ( Italo Disco,... ), but all links do refer to the actor...It's written differently ( Gear - Gere ), but still...

Do you guys know ?

the ep in question has been added aswell.

disco greetings from belgium

Hi there DiscoT

Have never heard this one before, but I doubt it's Richard Gere (even if you never would know for sure) as I would assume his english to be more 'clear'. To me it sounds like a good Italo track and I think they often choose names to remind of something else, just like Gear <=> Gere...
But there are several other examples of actors trying a one off singing release...

Like James Bond chick - Britt Ekland's "Do It To Me Once More With Feeling" for example... :D

Disco-on!
