For the past 10 years I'm fascinated with crazy Swiss duo. But I never had any original YELLO stuff, only downloaded. For years I've been telling myself that I can't allow that shameful situation to continue. But there was always something more urgent - artists like The KLF forcing me to collect every track they've ever created or MECO pushing me that I must hunt down all of his LPs still sealed. Finally, the YELLO time has come. :D Today I ordered 8 CDs and one LP, most of it manufactured in the first half of the 1980's! (Old CDs sound much better.) I have to order 6 more CDs and 2 LPs, but now I wanted to share this with you all, cause I'm really happy (or really crazy, depending on the point of view). I've spent all day searching and ordering discs in mint condition old almost as I am. 8)

Now, how many of you love YELLO? I mean - really love?

In my opinion, they're the most important musical act from central Europe - after Kraftwerk.

Two and a half years ago I talked to their manager and almost succeeded in arranging a meeting with them. 8) Some other time...

Gotta love Yello! :)
They were way ahead of their time & their productions have always sounded top notch.
12" remixes of their tracks I used to play a lot of in the clubs were......

Oh Yeah!
Pumping Velvet
I Love You
Viscious Games
Yello live @ The Roxy N.Y. Dec. 1983

"Oh Yeah!" (just as their title), I love Yello's work...
Sadly they never really got all the attention they deserved.
Favorites of mine are:

"Oh Yeah!"
"I Love You"
"Vicious Games"

Thanks for reminding me about them - will have to pull out some CD's and 12"s now !!! :D

Their early works is what I love the most. "The holy trinity" of Yello albums for me are CLARO QUE SI ('81), YOU GOTTA SAY YES TO ANOTHER EXCESS ('83) and STELLA ('85). Excess is my favourite one, that's probably the most crazy album I've ever heard. But Claro has the best artwork. That's partly the reason why I'm buying it now in 5 (five) different editions.
From Daily Disco:
I wanna see you moving and dancing all the night
The way that Sue is moving is nothing but divine
And only in the disco I know she could be mine
And when the night is over, the club is closing down...

I wonder... did any of you ever see Yello live? From what I know, they had very few live shows in their career. Two shows are known, both from New York: at The Roxy - December '83, and at the Palladium - September '85. Anyone lucky enough to witness that?
