Hi...
Know of any Clubs still running DISCO nights ?
Have a bunch listed in this page:
http://www.disco-disco.com/clubs/current-clubs.html
But I guess there are lots of others and maybe some of the listed in the page might not be running any more.
So let us all know !!!

Thank you for the link to :current dico nights. I found and old DJ friend that was part of our crew. Well looks like i got my work cut out for this weekend, i'm going to look him up and.If it's the guy "i think it is" Then he will be so surprise to see me that we may cry together. And knowing this DJ i'll end up doing a few mixes and running the light show. i will post back results on this event.

I know of two locations that still play that "old-Fashioned" Disco Music. But get ready to come south, and you better hurry. In Orlando, Florida. In Downtown Disney, there is a club called 8TRAXX. It's interior is full of old Disco memorabilia, the staff wears 70's fashions, and you might see people on roller skates! The music is 70's Disco, mixed and still sounding great. The deejay isn't, but really, who cares when you are the only Club that plays this music 7 nights a week, that I know of. Now for the bad news. On Monday June 30th, Disney announced that it would soon be scrapping Downtown Disney, in favor of "unknown attractions".
In Miami, Fla.-In Coconut Grove, along Main Street(I believe), there is a small Club called "Apple Martini's". On Saturday Nights, one of the Best Disco Deejays still spinning in the world, CIRO LLERERNA spins Old Disco. Great mixing, even better Music. But only on Saturdays!!
So when in Florida, there are still clubs for us. But if I were you, I would hurry. Anyone know of any others??

C'mon people...
If you know or have heard of Clubs anywhere around the world that run Disco nights regularly (weekly, bi-weekly or monthly), please step forward and inform us about them !
The interest is huge for Disco nights and we love to be able to share the info to others who are interested in "going to a Disco"...
So - please help out !
Thanks and Disco-on,
Discoguy

I've written about this before here but READ ON: for a high decibel, ultrahigh energy Disco nights do check out dj Aicha's gigs, especially her Nouveau Casino dos in Paris. Next one is in October. What makes the Casino a standout? First of all, the place is designed for maximum sound quality, with acoustically relevant wall and ceiling structures and a superb sound system. And it's popular. There are usually at least 2 djs with slightly varying tastes. The dancers appreciate new, quirky, ott, unheard material. As the music does not need to be compromised at all, the djs can really go for it. Dancers can close their eyes and get flown away, into all kinds of spectacular soundscapes, from midnight until 6 in the morning. Never come down. Also, it's the closest you can get to a real disco night in a very good club during the 70's - you won't recognise most of the songs but you're having a blast dancing to them.

I really would like to see pictures, but it failed to give me access to them. I got the text, but not the pictures! Anyhow, how often do you go there? And is it PURE disco?

sorry I haven't found much photos, found 2 indoor and outdoor, they don,t use the web much to promote their club unfortunately but the place get pretty crowded on every weekend, they play commercial disco from 75-81.
Also, close to this club, there is the club "Electric Avenue" who specialize in 80's dance music.

Saturday 8th of November 2008, Ilokivi/Gladstone, Jyväskylä Finland, The Gay&Lesbian Film Festival roadshow dance party, 2 floors. On the second floor a 5 hour set by me, with frenzied bongo tracks, fast tempo disco from Munich, Madrid and Mumbai, Italian wah-wah guitar soundtracks, Japanese drama queen vocals, music from Moroder, Simonetti and Les Rita Mitsouko. Obscure 7-inch wonders that'll make you DANCE. Flamboyant visuals etc.

Hello everyone. My first post here, just signed up. Big Disco fan. Very heavy Disco collector.I have everything.....well almost .....on VNYL that is . We here in L.A are fortunate to have a pretty regular schedule of Disco happenings available to us. And still some new ones starting up. I am part of a group who put together a Disco experience on a pretty regular basis. We do 2 hrs of Hustle then move to late 70's Disco for about an hour then Finish off with Hi NRG. Sometimes a little early new wave to mix it up. Most of the music played is on Vinyl.......but occasionally one of those cd guys sneaks in . It's all good. Recently I have been hanging out at a new event on Wednesday nights."Full Frontal" at La Cita in down town L.A. http://www.sleazetone.com/fullfrontal What is interesting to me about these events is that the age group is mid 20' to mid 30's....pretty young to be Disco lovers....but let me tell you, they are hard core....they know their stuff!!!! Lot's of re-edits and mostly using serato...but it is REAL DISCO, so it's cool by me. Any of you out there ever come to L.A.....look us up! Check out some photos and some music sharing at http://www.backtodisco.com/. Be cool every one,...and Disco on!!!!

OH! I am living in a Twilight Zone, when I should be living in Los Angeles. WAIT! That is where they have EARTHQUAKES!!! Never mind! I will stay in Miami, at least Hurricanes can be seen as they approach. No warnings on EARTHQUAKES!! I will grant you that LA is ahead of Miami as far as Disco nights are concerned! 305DISCO!! Can't YOU do something about this disparity??

Space Disco... the Final Frontier. Our mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out lost and undiscovered sounds, to boldly go where no lifeform has gone before. For Friday the 3rd of April A.D. 2009 at Club Dynamo, Turku, Finland, a powerful engine will be built. An engine that will help us to travel a hundred times faster into rhythm than we can today. Imagine it. Dare with us the icy deserts through the dark to where unknown Kadath, veiled in cloud and crowned with unimagined stars, holds secret and nocturnal the onyx castle of the Great Ones. The journey starts at Midnight, navigated by Djs Aicha ja Jussi.

And yet, the adventure is not over. Saturday Oct the 17th 2009 in Goteborg Sweden at club Nefertiti, doors are opened again to the unknown. In Madhavpur, we clash forces with The Bhujang thug sect crazed by the evil Goddess Kali, who will find that we also may not play by the rules of the law. A strong friendship is formed between us and the Grand Priestess Sheeva of the Lotus temple, in reality the daughter of Commissioner Mathur, whose sister, Divya Mathur has been abducted by Bhujang. We then form a gang called The Burning Train and will only rest after destroying Bhujang and his criminal empire, to joyfully disco dance into sunrise in Kama Sutra-styled formations. Forgot to mention we'll also be stopping in Brazil, the Shinjuku pleasure houses of Tokyo and the former DDR.
