Yeah Jay, I'm glad you like my list, and of course there lots of Donna, she IS number one, is she not??
I had to slightly edit the list. I dropped a few artists, like my beloved Grace Jones, but now the list is closer to my idea of ultimate top 50 disco songs.
And it is hard to choose only 50, but Pete - I've done my best.

Are we talkin here only about disco music, or maybe other (similar, related) types as well? I think 1974-1983 would be more precise, if we talk about pure disco...

Yes, you're right maybe more like '73-'84.
Couple of KEY disco songs came out in '73.
Same in '84 but not as KEY!!!!

The years you mention '74-'83 were the EXACT time I was spinning 4-6 nights per week!!!
When I came on the scene there was already a whole repoitare of Disco Hustle Music to fill the whole night!!

Am I missing something here?? I thought this is about favourite disco tracks. Why do I have a feeling that you don't want this Pete here? The guy has R2-D2 as his avatar, he can't be that bad...

Yes, let's keep it about the music.
Pete is no longer with us, so we'll skip that part.

It's a long story that we should not really bore you with. Let's put it briefly, we all thought the guy was genuine for the first few months of knowing him but as time progressed, lot's of descrepancies and holes started to appear in his posts. Also there were around 8 new members that came to the site at the same time he arrived. These new members came to his defence anytime any of his facts were questioned by any other genuine members. With a little detective work by the members here, it turned out that the 8 new members had the same IP address as Pete. Therefore everybody realised that all these so called new members happened to be Pete. It also turned out that Pete had also been booted from 2 other disco sites.
In the end, Pete was excluded from this site as well. Since his exclusion back in Jan of this year, there has been no drama since.
