More Diamonds, this time from the Shalamar!!!!
Shalamar formed 1976 in New York, New York, by Soul Train booking agent Dick Griffey and British producer Simon Soussan. The first Shalamar release, Uptown Festival, was recorded by faceless session singers. Griffey and Soussan decided to form a group proper when that single was a success, and plucked members Jody Watley (b. 30th January 1959, Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A.), Jeffrey Daniels (b. 24th August 1957), and Gerald Brown, from the Soul Train set where they were primarily dancers.
Gerald Brown was replaced the following year by Howard Hewett (b. 1st October 1955 in Akron, Ohio, U.S.A.) thus completing the group's best known incarnation.
In 1983, Jody Watley and Jeffrey Daniels left the group for solo careers and were replaced by Delisa Davis and Micki Free. Howard Hewitt left the group in 1986 to embark on his own solo career, as well as production for acts such as his then wife Nia Peeples, and was replaced by Sidney Justin. The band broke up in 1991, though Sidney Justin continued to tour with a new incarnation of Shalamar.
In 2005, Hewett and Daniels reformed Shalamar with new member Carolyn Griffey, daughter of Dick Griffey and singer Carrie Lucas and former member of R&B duo Absolute, and they performed on the British talent show "Hit Me Baby One More Time". They did not win, but continued to tour for the next few years.

Thanks Dan,I am happy that you like Shalamar's songs!!!
More Diamonds from John Davis and his Monster Orchestra!!!
John Davis and the Monster Orchestra (John (The Monster) Davis,Charles Collins,"Sugar Bear" Foreman,Craig Snyder,Bobby Eli,Roland Chambers,Larry Washington,Barbara Ingram,Carla Benson,Yvette Benton,The Don Renaldo Strings & Horns) were an American disco band, noted for their lead member (John Davis), who lent his name to the band as well as producing all of their output.
They released their first album, Night and Day, in 1976. The 12" single, "I Can't Stop", was one of its original tunes. The album enjoyed minor success and their second release was 1977's Up Jumped The Devil. By 1978 the band's third album, Ain't That Enough For You, was released. The album was their most commercially successful release, featuring the self-titled hit "Ain't That Enough For You." It gave the outfit their only UK hit when it reached #70 in the UK Singles Chart.
1979's The Monster Orchestra Strikes Again! would be their final album release. The album spawned two 12" singles; "Love Magic" would rival their previous success, whilst "Bourgie Bourgie" was a cover version of the Ashford & Simpson penned song.
John Davis and the Monster Orchestra released a last record in 1981. Available only on a 12" single, "Hangin' Out" charted on Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart in August 1981 and topped at number 46. In 1990, a remix of "(Feel The) Love Magic" was released and it became a club hit again. In 1992 Davis wrote, produced and performed the "Theme From Beverly Hills 90210."
