Alright, easy enough thread. Simply remind, educate us of a rare or/and "Hidden Gem" of a song. Please, make sure it is good! But tell us of an obscure song, one I may have missed and not played, or hardly played. I will start off with Curtis Mayfield.

Now That looks like Heaven. What a beautiful place to live. Incredible; a life out of the movies! LOL-- I have been there, stayed a weekend in those apartments that were shown. So you live in paradise, rub it in!! But I know, everyone has heard of KOKOMO, I don't know if it really qualifies in this thread. Nothing Rare or Hidden about it! But thanks, because that picture slide show, and that song, together! It works, I want to go there, be there, LIVE there!! What a life you must live!! LOL

I guess you need another example. No problem, there must be millions of songs that qualify for this thread. This is what I am talking about. I tell you, you could slide this in today, no-one would know they were listening to a 30 year-old song! Remember this one PINKY??

This group did some outstanding songs. many were covers, such as this one!

These are excellent examples of what I'm talking about, true, "Hidden Gems".

I understand. I think? I am not a deejay, but is this what you are talking about? A great song, that went over-looked. A really great Jazz artist and sax player, Gato Barbieri.

PETE'S NOTE:: You go girl, THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!

Hey Disco-Guy, this is beyond a hidden gem, that was buried! LOL- I think I found 2 songs, both with the same title. Both came out around the same, and both, I think, could be called hidden gems.

Now we are getting into the swing of things. Songs that got played, but never were chart busters. There must be tons of them. I just can't think of them all. But here is another one.

Here's another favorite... This is the LP version, but the 12" version doesn't have this long intro - it starts right off... ENJOY !!!

Was this song too big? Would this be a hidden gem?

While "OOH La La" was charted along with HARMONY, I think it was not played as much. So I would call it a "Hidden Classic". I love it more then Harmony!!

As for,"Find Me An Angel". It was popular enough in the day, but it too, might be called a "Hidden Gem". BTW, these songs were both extremely mixable, and I loved remixing and playing with them. So did everyone on the dance floor! Good ones!!
