VAUGHAN MASON & CREW: "BOUNCE ROCK SKATE & ROLL" 1979
https://rcpt.yousendit.com/782291146/3b ... 2195fff93d

Big Funk Radio Disco Hit in 1979 that escalated the Roller Skating Disco Craze that enveloped the inner cities.
Shortly after this came out they were springing up like crazy!!!!
There was a BIG one in the Bronx called "Skate Key" which played all the R&B Disco Hits of the time (80-83);
it eventually became a RAP place but not before helping disco & radio break hits like Unlimited Touch, Empress, T-Ski Valley, Rene & Angela, Billy Ocean, Sharon Brown, Slave, France Joli, & Denroy Morgan among others.

My boss at Tropicalia (Peter Martins) used to fight with me everytime I played the song.
Although the crowd dug it, he said he didn't want to promote that kind of atmosphere at the club.
(prejudiced MF;
he once threw George McCrae out of the DJ booth & the club because he thought he was 'just one of my friends from the Bronx'--he wasn't dressed sophisticated enough--he had a dungaree-jeans suit on)

TRIVIA QUESTION:
Vaughan Mason came back to have a bonifide #1 Club Hit in 1986.
What was the name of the song & group???

I know someone knows the answer to this!!

This is a KILLER !!!
As you say - it does remind a bit about Frantique (that's probably why I love it so much)...

THANKS !

Well my friends, I have never made a contribution to SOTN, so here is my first try.

When I first heard this on the tape at Def Mix, I went off the wall!! I mean, ofcourse I heard the first mix and all, but when Judy told me, "it's finished, sit and listen to this", I could not wait to hug Frankie.

Hope you enjoy
