Here is one that is totally subjective. There is no wrong or right answer. Give me your ONE SONG that equates to DISCO music to you! When you think of Disco music, this is the very best example of what Disco is to you. The one song that you will always associate to our favorite music. So obviously, it can only come from the 70's. No Freestyle, no Dance Oriented Rock, no New Wave, NO MADONNA!-- I can think of many. All the early BARRY WHITE Music, much of that PHILLY stuff. The Trammps? I could go on. There are literally thousands of choices. But when someone says to me, name one song that is DISCO to you. The orchestration, the vocals, the strings, the beat, the rhythm of my choice cannot be argued! In my book, even above Donna, and Barry and The Trammps , it has to be HANG ON IN THERE BABY! Mr Johnny Bristol gave us the ultimate disco song. This is the standard barer to me. This truly is PURE DISCO, in the beginning, at its best! Take a pair of headphones, crank up the volume, and enjoy DISCO the way it was meant! HANG ON IN THERE BABY!! It don't get no better!!

In my book, the honor goes to "Can't Get Enough" by the Maestro himself, Barry White!

In My Mind, the song that equals DISCO to me, has to be the very first song,The Trammps, ZING WENT THE STRINGS OF MY HEART/PENGUIN AT THE BIG APPLE. The hi-hat, the pace and vocals were the beginning. I love it!

My vote goes to:

"TEN PERCENT" - Double Exposure - 12"

When I hear Johnny Bristol I don't think of running to the floor to dance. My thought go to....well, I can't discuss that here.

I bet you thought I would say Sylvester, but I have to say I FOUND LOVE by Love & Kisses. This was pure disco at it's finest! I love it as much today... and I suppose you thought it was over!!

If I have to choose one song, then it has to be TANGERINE by The Salsoul Orchestra. This is DISCO to me!

Likewise, if I have to choose one. The sound of The Ritchie Family comes to mind. Remember BRAZIL. That was the biggest Disco hit in my mind. Pure Disco at it's very best.

Disco? What was more disco then the original, 1973's LOVE'S THEME by The Love Unlimited Orchestra. The sound of this was so new and fresh. I think of disco, I think of LOVE'S THEME!

As a female, and living in Philly, I can only say this group. It was played everywhere, and became one of the era's greatest songs. When I think disco, I think "When Will I See You Again" by The Three Degrees!

The one track that spells D.I.S.C.O. to me? Well it's a song that gives me visions of topless beauties on the French Rivièra, black Rolls Royces with the finest leather interior and wood, carefully elaborated by Jaqueline Bisset herself, clubs with red velvet sofas and full white cashmere carpets, visited by the most gorgeous women, all coming from planet Venus, wearing silk dresses and Bulgari jewelry, Italian pumps polished like a mirrorball, no lingerie, just Chanel N°5!

Oh yes, the song: "Lùùùùùv In c Minor", tailor made by the House of Cerrone & Costandinos!

Merci!

Pete, that track is Sex on vinyl! Every time I hear it, I'm beamed to the 70's again, in my favourite lounge club, the "Jimmy's"!

"Suzie, he's looking at you......"
