There is a song that my friend in Brazil GUI2000 needs to hear. He has searched high and low on the internet. Been to countless record stores. He says it is very rare, and hard to find. Guess what, I think there is someone here who will help him, IT IS ON TOM N' JERRY Label. By an artist called UDELL, the song is called,"Won't You Try", produced by Roland Kluger, arranged and co-written by Ralph Benetar. This 1977 12"is a "Tom Moulton Mix", and it's catalog number is, TG 6003. Now a mp3 download would be perfect! So can anyone help us, I never, or at least don't remember, ever heard this song. So come on, educate me!

Not Impressed. I had this record, it became part of my dining table in 1985. I don't know WHY Gui wanted this? And yes, he is back.

All Tom & Jerry label music was furniture. Except maybe "MOONBOOTS" ('78 Salsoul/Tom & Jerry 12")which I lost and cannot find.

That is not exactly true, most of it was furniture, I have an LP by a group called PULSTAR that kicked butt. It was sort of Like QUARTZ. Maybe some of the same people were involved. Has a certain European quality to it. We have here, on this forum, Tom,discoT, who loves TOM N' JERRY records!

Man that cat is a HIPPIE! Thank you for that! I had chills up and down my spine! It gave me a boner!! It reminds me of many Hot Mamitas who would dance to that! What a great trumpet player he was! What a great version of PAGLIACCI. It made my day! NOW that wakes a person up!! Thanks again!

Excellent song! PAGLIACCI, it takes me back to the summer of 77 and the hey days of club TOP DRAW in North Bay Village, Florida. I too remember the Mamitas dancing to this. You Know What I Want To Hear-- THE HOUSE IS ROCKIN by Bobby Caldwell! Anyone still got that 7"??

I'd never heard of this version & you are right Pete .....it is beautiful. :)

No wonder the mamitas loved it!.

Probably one of the best discofied versions of an opera. 8)

Good morning to you all.

just got back from a week holiday in Spain. I'll try to catch up asap.

i see that you have already found the mp3 from the EP Udell - Won't you try.... Too bad, 'cos I might have been able to help you aswell. I don't have the mp3 file, but I do have the EP. As I'm a proud collector of 12" disco EP's, Udell must be in my collection aswell... But I can tell you, the 12" EP's promo labels from Tom & Jerry are hard to find & pretty expensive... fyi, I have the following 12" promo EP's in my collection :

ORS - Moonboots cat # 12T-6000 ( promo )
D-RUM - Lalabye cat # TG6001 ( promo )
Udell - won't you try cat # TG6003 ( promo )
Rockets - on the road again cat #TG6005 ( promo - blue vinyl ) = this was a very expensive ep...

There's still one however that I cannot find.. It's the promo 12" EP from David Christie ( Don't stop me, I like it....)

i'll keep on searching.

so, If you want to hear these songs, guys...Just come over to Europe & I'll be happy to play them for you. Do you like Mojito's ? I'll make sure to fix some while listening to them...
