Alright, a great, new topic that could last forever. WHAT WAS THE GREATEST DISCO ALBUM? The album must be full of songs that were played everywhere. While we will come up with dozens of them, I will start with two that I love. Of Course,
the first, DR BUZZARD'S ORIGINAL SAVANNAH BAND
and, NYC's own- John Davis & the Monster Orchestra's
"NITE & DAY"which featured so many great standards made into Monster Disco Versions!! Fantastic album. I loved them both, still do. So come on now, GIVE ME SOME MORE!!

This one had "SOUL SEARCHIN TIME", "DISCO PARTY", "HOOKED FOR LIFE", "CAN WE COME TOGETHER" and the title track---all monster hits!

"SALSOUL ORCHESTRA" - Salsoul Orchestra
This LP had "TANGERINE", "SALSOUL HUSTLE", "CHICAGO BUS STOP (ooh I like it)", "SALSOUL RAINBOW", and "A TALE OF 2 CITIES"---more monsters!!!

Those are just my 2 personal favs---there were more!!!

OH, I hated them, but CULTURE CLUB had a couple of really great Albums, I really don't care what it was called, but it was a good album.

While I can never know who Madonna's first was, her first Album rocked the world with such a loud bang, we never let her go away!! Everything on that album was played!!

For your consideration: DON RAY'S one & only album! It was great, deejays world wide always wanted more!! Don could have made much more money if he continued his music on an international level. Never understood why he stopped?---- Another one for consideration, the first ARPEGGIO LP, with Love & Desire.

Here is one that went un-noticed, under-rated, and under-played. TINA CHARLES LP. We played ,what like five tracks off that LP. But right now, the only track my burned out brain recalls is YOU SET MY HEART ON FIRE. The others will come to me, then I'll come back to them.

The Macho Man lp has to be in the conversation. It was large in its day.

Pete---->Tina Charles, the greatest Disco Album? 5 CUTS???
I'm not gonna sugar coat it; Maybe it's just me; I don't know, but I remember giving the album away as soon as I heard it.

To me it just had her hit "YOU SET MY HEART ON FIRE" which we already had on an import 45 and 2-3 more minor maybes on it.
Pete, I think it is just one of YOUR PERSONAL favorites like we all have. I don't think it is even close to the albums already mentioned in this thread already.

I know, I'm always disagreeable.
Always raining on parades.
Always talkin mielda!

You are, 100% percent. CORRECTO MUNDO! I LOVE HER AND THAT ALBUM, I burned it out, so did a lot of others. I wish I still had it, two copies, so I could show you why I feel that way about it! But I don't. So, you are right!
If you got it, lend it to me, bring it when you come to TRH. Then we will play it, my way!! You won't agree, not in your nature, but, you will see why I threw that album into the thread here. Cool! NOT THE VERY BEST OF ALL TIME, NO WAY, BUT I CAN TALK ABOUT IT.

Trammps first album. Set the pace for disco in many ways. Biddu Orchestra Jump For Joy Album. Shaft In Africa the baddest album on the planet.
