Owners: ? Can't remember.
Resident DJ: DJ Ray Juanes (djrayj)

G-Wizz was a two story, saucer shaped night club with dance floor on the first and a VIP section on the second. Great house Band and an even better DJ , me.
Open till 5:00AM the club would be packed on Friday's and Saturday's, and very busy the other days. The place was full of awesome looking "Americanitas"!
The club was run to the ground by a new manager when he fired me because I didn't fall under his new music programming plan. Soon after, the place was dead (after all this manger ran Club 1235 into the ground prior to G-Wizz, why should he change?). Shortly thereafter, it was turned into a karaoke bar and soon bit the dust.

The Club played all kinds of music while I was there. Dance Rock, freestyle, dance, and even classic Disco all in the same night. Anywhere between midnight and 1:00AM the only slow song of the night would be played. It was a great time while it lasted.

PETE'S NOTE: This was a very trendy Club when Ray was there, within a year after he left, it was leveled, and today remains an empty lot. Understand that there had been a lot of money invested into the design, construction and operation of G-Wizz. Ray was the glue that held it together, but foolish management decimated the populace.

If I remember, there was a "doorman" named Preston, who later worked with me at the door at WAY OFF BROADWAY. Remember him Ray?? He was a trip. G-Wizz was a chick hang out, but there was a lot of shady things going on there. That explains it's quick demolition, that is why it was totally leveled. The music was top notch, but everyone got "used" to it, took it for granted. Once Ray was gone, the crowds followed, they too were gone!
