These were the northern Jersey Shore's "Big Three."
Odyssey and Down the Street were gay, but Xanadu was for everyone.
Xanadu and Odyssey closed in the 1980s, but DTS was open until late 1999! Pretty good.
Today, there is a huge gay disco in Asbury called PARADISE inside the EMPRESS HOTEL...but it will never be magical like DOWN THE STREET. Anyone remember it?
