Post subject:  Great Reading

Here is an article detailing Walter Gibbons & other DJs from my era.
Thank Dancer for turning me on to this.
Serious reading for serious DJ historians.

Just to join your conversation. An interesting book showcasing the disco era is Last night a DJ saved my life by Bill Brewster and Frank Broughton. They mention: "Disco produced several star remixers - pioneers like Tom Moulton, Walter Gibbons, Jim Burgess - but they never enjoyed star billing on their records: appreciation of their artistry was largely confined to the closed world of others DJs".

Post subject:  Farley & Chicago

Furthermore, I would have to add that there is no comparison between LL and the legendary DJs of Chicago Farley Jack Master, Ron Hardy, and Kenny Jamin Jason. Their unique mixing style and their feeling set a benchmark in the music industry.
